What is raffia?

Raffia is a treasure of nature. It comes to life from the long leaves of a tropical palm, generously found across Madagascar.
The leaves, carefully harvested, are then transformed by hand: first dried, then delicately stripped to extract the fibre.
That fibre - thin yet resilient - becomes a noble, supple material, ready to be dyed in natural or vivid shades.
Through this patient, respectful process, raffia lends itself to every kind of creation: baskets, rugs, lampshades, fashion accessories or home decor.

From palm to piece
